| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]- About The Den:
Months before Flash has clearly stated her new home to be hers, she took advantage at controlling a lone foxes den. It was small and decent for the foxes, though with silent arrivals and brute strength, she was able to sentence death of the fox and take control of the perimeter. The enclosure held three entrances, all precisely close to each other and only enough space for herself in each portion. With that, she used her fore paws and on her daily agenda she would dig at the corners and depths of the den inside, relatively evening them out separately. Unsure of how to settle amongst the room and extra space, she would allow possibly other upper-classed canids like herself, one day to share the den in peace.
Even though, she already has used the space for food she would bring back for herself. She would ward off other lone foxes and bears, even wolves that came around time to time, trying to alternate their territory with hers. Rejecting she fought around the same time occupying her home. With utter annoyance she kept her home heavily guarded at all times, the place is still standing in perfect condition, no neighbourly canids lurked as often but knowingly she kept her territory up-to-date with some daily urination along the perimeter. | A tawny female canid slumbers within her humble den soundly, the various movements by he above canopies shadow the light by the beaming sun dimly across her dorm. Shortly though, it was noon and Flash started to commence slight movements, her tassel twitching as her fore paws reached out towards the entrance of her core. The tip of her snout poked out as her eyes slowly began to open, extending her blunt claws across the soil, collecting the grains before pulling her limbs back, pressing against the earth to heave her healthy physique off the cool terrain. Slowly she emerged from her sheltered den slowly, stretching out herself gingerly then standing tall to arch her back on an angle. Her nostrils flared as she exhaled deeply, her amber pools surveying her surroundings before the blazing sunlight flooded her pools, she groaned; looking away with displeasure.
As she slowly allowed her body to adjust to the new day, Flash started to walk across the rough terrain matted down with leafs and other debris; a trail she made by walking it very often to and fro from her location. A familiarized clearing beyond the point where she stood, the forest beyond that stood tall to this day. The air was chilled and the breeze tugged lightly across her frame as she evaluated the brushes thoroughly. Her stomach ached with hunger, as her previous nights' meal lasted for only a few hours until she found rest. A scampi hare hesitantly slipped by her, catching her off-guard for a split second before she gave chase. She was able to keep on it's pace, as it hopped through the foliage, her paws lifting up quickly, elevating the weak limbs to move more quickly as she soon leapt forward, clamping her jaws onto the hare's back and lifting it away from the ground. She placed it once more, her jaws still clenched, grasping and then pulling back whilst holding down her game with her fore paws to stable the creature. Shortly lived, she consumed the snack quickly, the stringy meat falling from smaller pieces she gnawed hungrily. Sniffing around, she picked up the other pieces and polished the bones clean before she moved on throughout her borders quietly, licking her chops craving for more than one snack. Trekking through the paths of the forest grounds, the female halted, sniffing the air for the time being as her lobes pivoted. "It's too quiet.." she would say with a soft and soothing tone as she shook ou herself gingerly, peering around and catching a glimpse of the prey that lurked afar. The herds have grew over the passed few weeks, mentoring young and stablizing their elderly. She watched the caribou in the background huddle as she merged from the forest and laid down slowly at the peak of a slope. Contently she reviewed, seeking full control on a possible kill; a mother with an adolescent. Concentrating, the tawny female stayed quietly where she was, her tail twitching for a moment and her snout twitching, she was convinced to try catching one of the elders or youths this time again, she could see one of the female's she wounded on her previous hunts...looking still healthy as she moved.
Even though the herds started to get the senses to go chase for the hell of it, Flash had other suggestions in mind. As she arose to hr paws, Flash urned slowly and decided to check out the northern outlands for any trespassing canids; if any. The way she took was across a small river, shallow enough to trek through and thus she began to make her way towards the area at ease, marking every few meters or old areas that needed to be replenished of her scent.
